Coding Organisations that you need to be a part of if you are a female

We need to face the truth, females faces are not so prevalent in the tech industry. The reasons vary; some girls are not aware of what programming is, what is in for them, others hesitate to enter the tech field which is dominated by males. Some visionary people saw through this, and are addressing this issue by making an impact at a lower level, creating a platform for girls where they feel comfortable, a part of a tech community.

If you too want to be a part of the movement to bring equal representation in the tech ecosystem, you should strongly consider joining the below-listed organisations of like-minded female programming education advocates.

The Girl Code

It all started when two sixteen-year-old girls wanted to see more girls studying code as they were the only ones in their Coding Class. The Girl Code is a Non-Profit Organization based in New Delhi, India and Singapore. It aims to introduce young girls to programming by hosting workshops at local schools.

The Girl Code takes a step toward balancing the gender ratio in the tech industry by providing an online platform for girls to learn to program and hosting workshops to reach out to young students. Their primary aim is to instil in them the confidence that they can code.
